Players To Watch Out for in 2024

With 2023 behind us, it’s time for football fans to start looking ahead into what is in store for 2024. This year is set to be a breakout period for several promising wonderkids across the world and a number of them might be looking at expensive and spectacular moves to elite clubs. Some football players already started this journey in 2023 and they are already blooming on the global stage.

Here are the top six football players to watch out for while using Betway to bet on different European teams.

Leny Yoro

At only 18 years old, Leny Yoro has been making headlines this season and he’s among the main components steering Lille’s incredible form and defensive record. The French center-back has featured in almost every Ligue 1 match this season, showing amazing composure and maturity for anyone his age.

Thanks to Yoro’s growing talent, composure, and maturity, the French center-back has been linked with multiple European football teams. That includes premier league teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea. He has also attracted the attention of PSG and Real Madrid.

Joao Neves

An upcoming youngster coming from Benfica Academy, Joao Neves is among the top starlets making headlines in Lisbon. At only 19 years old, the central midfielder has recorded three caps with Portugal, impressing football punters at Betway with his deep-lying role. That’s attracting the attention of talent scouts from leading football teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

Johan Bakayoko

Johan Bakayoko started making a huge impact for PSV Eindhoven early last year and finished his break-out year with five assists and seven goals. His pace and ability to make the right-winger a threat to the defenders helped him make his international debut in March for the Belgium side.

Ousmane Diomande

While Goncalo might be receiving most of the attention as the Sporting CP’s skilled center-back, defender Ousmane Diomande is the player to watch. The Ivory Coast defender has remained a regular starter for the Portuguese team this season, boasting a 70-million-euro release clause on his contract. The 19-year-old has also attracted the interest of several EPL teams, including Chelsea and Arsenal.

Arthur Vermeeren

Although Royal Antwerp might have recorded a poor debut campaign in the UEFA Champions League, defensive midfielder Arthur Vermeeren is outstanding. The 18-year-old defensive midfielder sparkled for the Belgian team in Europe and a move to a bigger team seems inevitable in the future.

One of the teams that are interested in bringing Vermeeren to their side is Barcelona, which is among his UCL opponents this season. There are also several other interested teams, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspurs, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Oscar Gloukh

Red Bull Salzburg has once again struck gold with the 19-year-old attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh. The Israeli footballer has shone in Austria, producing an assist and two goals in the UEFA Champions League this season. Gloukh has also recorded three goals in 12 matches with Israel, with several teams including Barcelona trying to sign him. However, Gloukh has openly expressed his interest in playing for Real Madrid, although a move to this side seems unlikely in 2024.

Conclusion

Although there are dozens of wonderkids hoping to break out this season and become stars in European football, the top six players we have listed above promise to be quite entertaining in 2024. However, it’s not always easy for most players to make it to the top flight, although they have a real chance of creating something special.
